# Share a recipe publicly, with friends, or by link

Each recipe you publish is Public, Friends, or Link only. Follow cooks you like, post an I Made This when you cook someone else's recipe, and use Make It Mine to adapt a recipe with credit to the original.

Choose who sees a recipe when you publish it:

- **Public.** Anyone can find it, and search engines can list it.
- **Friends.** People who follow each other.
- **Link only.** Anyone with the link, not listed.

Publish only recipes you wrote or adapted. The [Community Guidelines](/community-guidelines) explain what is allowed.

## Questions

### Can others see my private recipes?
No. Only recipes you publish are visible, and only to the audience you pick.

### Can I report a recipe?
Yes. Use Report on any recipe or profile. See the Community Guidelines.
