# How to put a cookbook into your phone

In Saucepan, choose Import, then scan, and photograph the page. It reads the text into a recipe you can edit, search and cook from. Do one page per recipe and check the amounts before you save.

Keep the page flat and well lit, and avoid shadows from your hand. Make a collection for the book so the recipes stay together.

Scan for your own use. Do not publish a cookbook's recipes.
