# Saucepan vs Yummly

Yummly closed on 2024-12-20. It was built around a free recipe search engine from Whirlpool, with personalized recommendations, a weekly meal planner and a shopping list. Saucepan saves recipes from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Facebook, websites, cookbook pages, handwritten cards, screenshots, shows what you can make tonight, and cooks hands-free. Choose Saucepan if you need a new home for your recipes now that Yummly has closed, with saving from Instagram and TikTok, a pantry you fill by scanning a receipt, and timers that ring even on silent.
