Save recipes from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and any website

Tap Share in any app and choose Saucepan. It reads the caption, and for videos the on-screen text and narration, and saves a recipe with ingredients and steps. It works with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Facebook, Safari and most recipe websites.

Updated October 24, 2026

Recipes get saved from the places people find them: a Reel, a TikTok, a YouTube video, a Pinterest pin, a food blog.

How it works

  1. Open the post or page with the recipe.
  2. Tap Share, then Saucepan. If Saucepan is not in the row, scroll to the end, tap More, and turn it on.
  3. Saucepan reads the caption and, for video, the on-screen text and narration, then saves the recipe.
  4. Look it over before you cook. Imports are a draft you can edit.

Other ways in

Copy a link and paste it. Save from a screenshot. Scan a cookbook page or a handwritten card with the camera.

Recipes you save from other people are for your own cooking. Do not publish them as your own.

Questions

Do I need to leave the app I am in?

No. Share opens from the app you are in, and the recipe is saved without switching.

Can I paste a link instead?

Yes. Copy a link and paste it into Saucepan.

Do I need an account?

No. Recipes stay on your device unless you sign in to sync.
