Chicken Katsu Recipe

1. 1Step 1: Pound the chicken breasts into 1/2-inch thickness. Season both sides with salt and pepper and drizzle with soy sauce. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with panko breadcrumbs, and one with the whisked egg.
2. 2Step 2: Dip each chicken breast fillet in the flour, then the egg, then the panko breadcrumbs.
3. 3Step 3: Add oil to a non-stick pan. Once the oil reaches at least 350F, place the crumbed chicken breasts in and fry for 4-5 minutes, flipping halfway through. Remove from heat when golden brown or internal temperature reaches 165F.
4. 4Step 4: Place cooked chicken katsu on a paper towel to absorb extra oil before slicing and serving.
