Let rest for 5 to 10 minutes until the mixture is foamy.2Step 2: Fit the mixer with the whisk attachment. Add the 1/3 cup sugar, warm milk, 5 Tbsp butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture. Blend (the butter will remain separated at this point, and that's fine).3Step 3: Add 2 cups of flour and mix until well combined.4Step 4: Switch the mixer to the dough hook attachment. Add the remaining 2 1/2 cups of flour and mix until the dough is nearly smooth and elastic, about 4 to 5 minutes (the dough should be slightly sticky).5Step 5: Transfer the dough to a greased large mixing bowl and cover with greased plastic wrap. Allow the dough to rise in a warm, draft-free place until doubled in volume, about 1 1/2 hours.6Step 6: Punch the dough down all over. Divide the dough into two equal portions. Shape each portion into a ball.7Step 7: Roll each dough ball out on a lightly floured surface into a large circle about 13 to 14 inches across (try to keep the dough as even in thickness as possible).8Step 8: Spread each circle of dough evenly with 2 Tbsp of softened butter.9Step 9: Cut each circle into 4 equal quarters, then each quarter into 3 wedges (like cutting pizza or pie slices). Roll each wedge up, beginning on the wide (outside) edge.10Step 10: Transfer the rolls to a buttered 18 by 13-inch cookie sheet (the tip of the rolled wedge should be tucked on the bottom; you can fit 3 rows of 8 rolls).11Step 11: Cover the rolls loosely with greased plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.12Step 12: During the last 15 minutes of rising, preheat the oven to 375 degrees.13Step 13: Remove the plastic wrap and bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15 to 19 minutes until golden brown.14Step 14: Remove from the oven and brush with the remaining 3 Tbsp of butter (preferably melted). Serve warm or allow to cool and store in an airtight container.getsaucepan.com/r/3178603c-3172-46a7-ae75-82b294b1af61 · Original: https://www.cookingclassy.com/amazing-dinner-rolls/
