Rinse the rice by covering it with warm water, agitating it with your hands to remove dust, then carefully draining the water. Repeat until the water runs clear, which takes a minute or two. Add water according to the manufacturer's ratios, place the pan in the rice cooker, and cook according to the manufacturer's directions. Once done, let the rice steam and rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.2Step 2: Preheat a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, panko breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, onion powder, and ground black pepper. Mix with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overmix. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form each into a 3/4-inch thick patty, pressing a small indent in the center of each to prevent swelling during cooking.3Step 3: Add the butter to the hot skillet. Once melted, place the patties in the skillet and cook for 3 minutes per side, until a nice crust forms. Transfer to a plate and set aside.4Step 4: Add the butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add the mushrooms and onion. Cook, stirring occasionally, until tender and browned, 8-10 minutes. Deglaze the skillet with beef stock, scraping up any browned bits with a wooden spoon, then stir in the Worcestershire sauce and beef base. Bring to a simmer. Once simmering, stir in the cornstarch slurry; the gravy should thicken immediately. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired. Reduce heat to keep warm for serving.5Step 5: Meanwhile, prepare the fried eggs. Place the butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Once melted, carefully crack the eggs into the pan. Season with a pinch of kosher salt and ground black pepper as desired. Cook for 3-4 minutes, until the whites are set. Set aside for serving.6Step 6: Pile the rice on a plate or shallow bowl, creating a bed for the burger. Place the burger on top of the rice. Smother with the onion and mushroom gravy, then top with a fried egg. Finish with a sprinkling of sliced green onions, shoyu (soy sauce), and any other condiments you love. Serve immediately.getsaucepan.com/r/47c343ba-8fdf-44e1-93c1-a891c8bebc0f · Original: https://playswellwithbutter.com/loco-moco/
