3. 3Step 3: Simmer gently for at least 30 minutes, preferably longer, skimming off any foam that rises to the top.
4. 4Step 4: Remove from heat when the butter is clear on top and the browned solids are visible on the bottom.
5. 5Step 5: Place a strainer over a bowl and line it with cheesecloth.
6. 6Step 6: Pour the butter through the strainer and discard the solids.
7. 7Step 7: Store the clarified butter in the refrigerator in a tightly covered glass jar.
