Gluten Free Polenta Cake

2. 2Step 2: Polenta Cake: Add the butter and sugar to a standing mixer with the paddle attachment and beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.

8. 8Step 8: Buttercream: Add the softened butter to a clean stand mixer with the paddle attachment and whip on high speed until it becomes light and fluffy, about 5 to 7 minutes.
9. 9Step 9: Add in the powdered sugar and maple syrup and mix until completely combined.
10. 10Step 10: Once the cake has cooled add the buttercream to the top and spread around so that the top is covered.
