Coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter and set aside.2Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.3Step 3: Separate the eggs, putting the yolks in one bowl and the whites in another.4Step 4: To the egg yolks, add ¾ cup of the sugar and beat with a mixer until light, pale, and silky. Stir in the milk and vanilla until smooth.5Step 5: Using clean beaters, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form, gradually adding the remaining ¼ cup of sugar. The whites should fold over when you lift the beaters.6Step 6: Pour the yolk mixture into the flour mixture and mix with a sturdy rubber spatula until no flour clumps remain.7Step 7: Add the egg whites and gently fold them in until just incorporated. Do not overmix, or the cake may be flat.8Step 8: Pour the batter into the prepared dish and smooth the top. Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool until only slightly warm.9Step 9: In a large measuring cup or bowl, combine the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and ½ cup heavy cream.10Step 10: Poke holes all over the top of the cake to the bottom with a fork. Slowly pour the milk mixture over the cake and let it absorb completely.11Step 11: In a chilled metal or glass bowl, beat the remaining 2 cups heavy cream until stiff peaks form, adding the powdered sugar as you go.12Step 12: Spread the whipped cream over the cake and top with cinnamon sugar and sliced strawberries if desired.getsaucepan.com/r/9bf290cd-c7d8-429f-860c-ccf5a9769201 · Original: https://iwashyoudry.com/tres-leches-cake-recipe/
