If it gets too hot, let it cool a few minutes.2Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, yeast, ground cardamom, and salt. Add the warm milk mixture and stir until the dough begins to form. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead for 7-10 minutes, until smooth and soft.3Step 3: Form the dough into a ball, place in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel or plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.4Step 4: Meanwhile, stir together the filling ingredients in a separate bowl until evenly combined.5Step 5: Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and roll into a 22 x 15-inch (55 x 38-cm) rectangle. Spread the filling evenly over the dough. Fold the left third in towards the center, then fold the right third over that, like folding a business letter. Gently roll over the dough to press out bubbles, then roll out to a 15 x 8-inch (38 x 20-cm) rectangle.6Step 6: Using a pizza cutter or knife, slice the dough into even 2 x 20-cm long strips. Take one strip, twist it several times, gently stretching until nearly double in length. Wrap one end around two fingers twice, then loop the rest perpendicularly to form a knot, tucking the loose end underneath. Place on a parchment-covered baking sheet and repeat with remaining strips.7Step 7: Loosely cover the buns with a clean kitchen towel and let rise for 45-60 minutes.8Step 8: Heat the oven to 375°F. Brush each bun with the egg wash and sprinkle with a pinch of pearled sugar.9Step 9: Bake for 15-18 minutes, until the rolls reach your desired level of golden brown. Transfer to a wire rack and let cool for 5 minutes. Serve warm.getsaucepan.com/r/d0af3290-d4ca-47fe-a947-06c9c8538f70 · Original: https://www.gimmesomeoven.com/swedish-cinnamon-buns-kanelbullar/
