Trim off any bruised spots and cut in half if they are larger than a small egg.2Step 2: Preheat a large, shallow braising pot over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of oil and spread it well. Add the potatoes and drizzle the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil over them. Pan-fry the potatoes over medium heat for about 25 minutes, turning them often to avoid burning.3Step 3: Alternatively, roast the potatoes in the oven at 200°C (392°F) for 30 minutes.4Step 4: Once the outer layer of the potatoes is nicely browned, add the water and the braising sauce (soy sauce, rice wine, and brown sugar). Bring to a boil over medium-high heat (about 2 minutes). Reduce heat to medium and simmer until most of the sauce has boiled away, leaving about 5-6 tablespoons of sauce in the pot (about 15 minutes).5Step 5: Reduce heat to low and add honey, sesame oil, and sesame seeds. Gently toss to coat while simmering until the sauce thickens, about 15 more minutes.6Step 6: Continue to simmer to achieve a darker color and stickier sauce, turning the heat up to medium if needed. Stir often, then remove from heat.7Step 7: Serve with steamed rice. The potatoes taste better after cooling for about 30 minutes in the refrigerator.getsaucepan.com/r/e3854657-6bdf-422d-bd3b-3487bc649c86 · Original: https://mykoreankitchen.com/gamja-jorim-korean-braised-potatoes/
