Haupia (Hawaiian Coconut Pudding)

2. 2Step 2: In a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat, combine the coconut milk and sugar. Whisk constantly until the mixture begins to simmer.
3. 3Step 3: While continuing to whisk, slowly pour in the water and cornstarch mixture until it thickens. Reduce the heat to low and keep whisking until you have a thick, pudding-like consistency. This is important: it needs to thicken while heating or it won't set up.
