1 Step 1: Blend the peanut butter, garlic, chili paste, sweet soy sauce, lime juice, palm sugar, strained tamarind juice and salt. Add the hot water or coconut milk gradually until the sauce is smooth and pourable.2 Step 2: Pour the sauce into a small saucepan and simmer over medium-low heat for about 5 minutes, stirring often, until it thickens slightly. Add a little water if it becomes too stiff, and keep warm.3 Step 3: Boil the sliced potatoes for about 5 to 7 minutes until fork-tender, then drain and set aside.4 Step 4: Blanch the green beans for about 3 minutes, the cabbage for about 1 minute and the bean sprouts for about 30 seconds in boiling water, until just tender but still crisp. Move them to a bowl of cold water, then drain well.5 Step 5: Hard-boil the eggs, cool them in cold water, peel and halve them.6 Step 6: Heat about 1/4 inch of oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the tofu and tempeh for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden and crisp on all sides, then drain on paper towels.7 Step 7: Lay the cooked vegetables, potatoes, fried tofu and tempeh, sliced cucumber and halved eggs out on a large platter. Spoon plenty of the warm peanut sauce over the top and bring it to the table right away, passing the leftover sauce in a bowl.getsaucepan.com/r/4b31702b-6db0-5621-b8f6-d6ee92fe8239
