1 Step 1: Combine the glutinous rice flour and sugar in a bowl, then add the oil and water and stir with a silicone spatula until smooth and lump-free.2 Step 2: Steam the mixture for 20 minutes until cooked through; a toothpick inserted in the centre should come out clean. Let it cool enough to handle.3 Step 3: Or microwave instead: heat 1 minute, stir well with a wet silicone spatula, heat another minute and stir again, then heat 30 seconds more until the dough looks translucent. Timings assume an 1100W microwave; adjust for other wattages.4 Step 4: Meanwhile, grind the peanuts in a mortar and pestle or food processor to a fine powder, then mix with the sugar and spread on a plate.5 Step 5: Dust your fingers with extra glutinous rice flour, pinch off portions of the dough and shape into bite-sized balls.6 Step 6: Roll each ball in the peanut mixture until well coated, then serve warm.getsaucepan.com/r/1c65916a-d149-5e65-977c-b1994972de8a
