Troubleshooting

In short: Most problems have a quick fix. If yours does not, email support@getsaucepan.com.

Saucepan is not in my Share sheet.

Scroll to the end of the app row, tap More, and turn on Saucepan. You only do this once.

The recipe has no amounts. Is that a bug?

Probably not. If the creator left out amounts, Saucepan can only save what is shown. Add the missing amounts yourself after you try the recipe.

A website will not import. What can I do?

Copy the recipe text and paste it in. You can also open the page yourself inside the app, and the app reads the page as you see it. If you are signed in, the app may try other ways to read the page first.

A post from a private group will not save.

Share it from your own phone, as you see it. Saucepan reads only what you shared.

My timer did not ring.

Check three things. Allow notifications for Saucepan in Settings, then Notifications. Check your iOS version: timers ring on silent only on iOS 26.1 and later. On older versions, the silent switch mutes the notification sound. Also allow Alarms for Saucepan in iOS Settings if asked.

Voice control in Cook Mode does not work.

Check that Saucepan has Microphone and Speech Recognition access in iOS Settings, then Saucepan. Saucepan asks for them only when you use voice.

My invite link opens in the browser.

Tap Open in Saucepan, or install the app first and open the link again. The person who sent the invite can reset it if it does not work.

I paid, but Saucepan+ is not working.

Open the Saucepan+ screen and tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple ID you subscribed with. With Family Sharing, check that subscription sharing is on for your family group.

My sign-in code does not work.

Codes work once and expire within an hour. Ask for a new code, and use the newest one. You can also use Sign in with Apple or Google.

The receipt scan listed things I did not buy.

Tap the row to remove it, then tap Done. Nothing is added to your Pantry before that. If a scan keeps missing, try another photo, or type the items instead.

My recipes do not show on my other device.

Sign in with the same account on both devices. Without an account, recipes stay on the device where you saved them.

I deleted the app. Are my recipes gone?

If you were signed in, no. Sign in again and your library syncs back. If you never signed in, recipes were stored on that device only, so they are deleted with the app unless a device backup has them.

It says I used my cloud reads.

Free accounts get a monthly allowance of cloud reads, for recipes your iPhone cannot read on its own. Saucepan+ has no limit. The app and the pricing page show the current number and what happens next.

An allergy flag missed an ingredient.

Flags can miss ingredients with unusual names, ingredients missing from the recipe, hidden ingredients in packaged foods, and cross-contact. Always read labels. Please also email support@getsaucepan.com with the recipe so we can look.

How do I report a bug or a wrong recipe?

In Saucepan, go to Settings, then Send Feedback, or tap Report on a recipe. You can also email support@getsaucepan.com. It helps to include your iPhone model, iOS version and Saucepan version.
